Found, framed, finished.
From a market table in Europe to a wall in Dubai: the full journey of a piece.

We travel several times a year to France, the UK, Sweden, Denmark and Belgium. We work markets, brocantes, estate clearances, small regional auctions and a handful of dealers we have known for years.
We buy on instinct, then check with our heads: is the canvas sound, is the panel warped, has it been overcleaned, is the frame original and worth keeping? Anything that fails goes back on the table.
Everything travels home together and is condition-checked in the studio. We clean gently, stabilise what needs stabilising and never over-restore; the marks of age are the reason the piece feels alive.
Then it is reframed from our small Frame Edit, wired, photographed in natural light and written up. Only then does it appear on the site.
The power of vintage is the quiet part of all this. Every painting we sell already exists. Nothing is printed in a factory, nothing arrives in a container of a thousand identical copies, nothing was made to be replaced in two years. We buy what has already lasted a century and give it another one.
So we reuse frames wherever they are worth keeping, rescue the ones that are not, retell the story of each piece rather than inventing one and repurpose what we can: old glass, old backing boards, old wood. Parcels leave us in kraft paper, rope and reused packing, with a note written by hand rather than printed.
It is a slower, more careful way to fill a home and it happens to be the kindest one. Something old and beautiful is still the most sustainable thing you can hang on a wall.
Nothing new needed to be made for any of this to be beautiful.

Objects worth finding. For homes that tell stories.
