The Traveller in Red
AED 1,150
A long red coat turns this figure into one strong vertical shape. The printed outline supplies the detail but the hand colouring supplies the authority, moving from muted brick to deeper red where the pigment gathers. The title is descriptive: the figure's identity and the original publication have not yet been confirmed. Even without that context, this is a commanding piece of image-making, balancing intricate line work with one decisive field of colour.
